We think the same things, even without talking to each other, "she already knows what I think", says Cláudia Soares Pereira of the bond with her sister Catarina when designing the interiors of Casa do Passadiço their new interior design showroom. A very strong bond that of the family that lays the foundations of their latest project, a new and unconventional Boutique in Lisbon.
The sisters grew up immersed in good taste and design. 'My grandfather was an industrialist but he was also interested in antiques. He loved going to auction houses and was a very cultured man. My mother inherited it, and so was my father. We come from a family that loves beautiful things"
Casa do Passadiço was founded in 1992 by their mother Catarina Rosas in the north of Portugal, in the Braga region, where their studio is housed in an 18th century manor house. Here, a strong feminine energy has been captured in the soul of the brand from the very beginning. "She was very brave and we know we owe her a lot," says Cláudia. "Everything we know comes from her." While proudly Portuguese, the duo scour flea markets at auction houses around the world to bring their treasure to fruition inside the new Lisbon boutique, which obviously earned their mother's seal of approval.
