The first luxury beauty boutique just opened in the centre of Oman, framed as a classical temple
Leather & Lather Washington was founded in 2015 in Muscat, the capital city of Oman, in the middle east. It's the first luxury store in town that bring top quality products from all over the world that vary from beauty to leather goods. In 2022 they have decided to restyle their shop, moving to a new one over 130 meters square in the city centre.
The project was commissionated to Sarah Habib Design's architectural studio and was realized by Sarah Habib herself. The studio Headquarters is in Egypt, but its fame in luxurious architectural and interior design has made it famous worldwide, especially in the Middle East.
The new retail shop is inspired by classicism. The primary color is white, resembling an ancient Greek temple just discovered. Both the ceiling and the walls are decorated with elegant stuccos. In order to emphasize the elegance of classical ar,t some frescos in between the exhibitors. Those depict ancient ruins that give the space a romantic atmosphere. Moreover, many sculptures inspired by Greek art are scattered around the shop.
The sculptures are covered in gold, the second key color, as well as all the details from the chandelier or the exhibitors. This accuracy helps give the space a luxurious touch.
As we said initially, all the products are the best on the world markets, but they all differ from the packaging to the size. These architectural tricks unify them in a common refined and elegant frame that makes Leather & Lather one of his kind in the country.
