LOLY Boutique Hotel Rome

Urban chic hotel in the heart of Trastevere

Located between the neighborhoods of Trastevere and Testaccio, where the true spirit of the capital still lives, Loly Boutique Hotel has just been inaugurated. A charming reality whose particularity can be perceived from the first glance, on the external facade, in fact, one can notice the "engraving" of the word "TIPOGRAPHY" just to recall its previous soul.

The current structure and design were obtained as a result of the skillful restoration of the former print shop, under which several archaeological finds were discovered. Rising on it is a reality with an Industrial flavor between Chic and Modern contrasts skillfully synergistic.

Inside the structure one can admire a central body where the lobby and lounge bar area rises, bright and characteristic thanks to the ultramodern glass chandelier that becomes the protagonist emphasizing the height of the hall and mezzanine. Again, it is interesting to note the contrast of wooden beams, glass and velvet.

Looking up, we then find the partition where in the morning it is possible to have a wonderful breakfast, while in the evening Osteria Trastevere enters the scene showing how Roman tradition can be enhanced and reinterpreted in a gourmet way.

Moving radially away one encounters the thirty-five rooms, including the Deluxe rooms; these feature high ceilings, the use of raw but warm materials, essential but balanced that lead one to appreciate the modernity and urban-chic care behind this boutique hotel.

Climbing upward throughout the structure one arrives at the terrace, a large furnished space in which one can enjoy a quick lunch, a convivial dinner as well as experience the typical Trastevere landscape.

Tidbits and anecdotes are revealed to us directly by Rita Magagnini, General Manager of the structure, a splendid woman with a sociable character and clear and definite ideas. Rita tells us how behind this adventure there is the desire to offer the guest a tailor-made service, where every nuance and detail is proposed with extreme care and attention. Proof of this philosophy turns out to be the specialized research in terms of beverages; for example, it is possible to taste Champagne produced by their Champagnerie. The details and pampering continue on many aspects, Niche teas, sugars, and finally amenities, signed Ortigia, among the much appreciated surprises the mini-soap scrub.

Other curiosities, on the other hand are revealed to us by Mauro Pizzuti owner of the facility, a Roman entrepreneur in the restaurant business (12 businesses between Italy and Monte Carlo) and more than 30 years of experience. Mauro talks about himself as a belly entrepreneur, his intuition and passion have always driven him to want to tell the story of Italian-ness through Made in Italy excellence.

Opportunity to understand that philosophy presented itself while tasting Roman dishes at his restaurant Tre in Lucina in Piazza San Lorenzo. Authentic Roman dishes (consider that the Roman-style meatballs are executed under Mauro's sister's recipe), choice ingredients, and Roman conviviality made the dining experience typically unique.

It is easy to infer how the atmosphere is positive, serene and enveloping, perfect for discovering and experiencing the Eternal City.

Small concluding anecdote: The name, Loly is the diminutive of Lorenzo, Mauro's son, this to emphasize the union between family and hospitality.
